Online EMDR Intensives Available throughout Massachusetts and beyond
You don’t have to travel to do this work. Online EMDR is effective, well-established, and increasingly the format that busy professionals prefer — no commute, no waiting room, no rearranging your entire day.
One of the most common questions people have about online EMDR is whether it actually works through a screen.

Online EMDR works well — and here’s why
We meet through a secure tele-health platform, and rather than relying on eye movements, you guide yourself through the bilateral stimulation by tapping — a simple, tactile technique you do with your own hands. It’s grounding, it’s effective, and most people find it surprisingly natural within minutes.
Ninety percent of my EMDR work is online. I sense you well and we do good work, period.
The other thing people wonder about is if the connection will feel real; whether I’ll truly be able to understand what they’re going through from a distance.

I am particularly skilled at sensing people, on screen and off
I have spent years developing the ability to sense what’s happening emotionally for the people I work with — what’s unspoken, what’s just beneath the surface, what needs to be gently acknowledged.
That doesn’t change on a screen. Clients consistently tell me they feel genuinely seen and heard in our online work together — sometimes more than they expected to feel in any therapeutic setting.
For Massachusetts clients especially, online intensives make this work immediately accessible. Whether you’re in Boston, the North Shore, the South Shore, the Cape, or anywhere in between — we can begin wherever you are.
What People Say
“I didn’t understand how online therapy could be as good as an in-person meeting. After the pandemic I was a hard “no” for all things Zoom. I was wrong. There’s a huge difference between meeting in a large group on Zoom and meeting 1:1 with Bri online. At this point I have a hard time imagining doing EMDR in person. When we meet online I feel like we are in the same room sitting across from each other.“

“I really didn’t experience much difference between the online experience versus the in-person experience. I felt like it was very effective in both cases.
100% it may sound hyperbolic but honestly EMDR changed my life. I don’t think that I would be where I am today without it.”

In-Person Intensives Asheville, North Carolina — a destination worth the trip
For those who want a retreat experience, there is something uniquely powerful about leaving your regular life behind entirely and dedicating a full day, or more, just to yourself.
The in-person intensive takes place at my private office nestled in the hills of Asheville, North Carolina — a beautiful, quiet space surrounded by woods, nature, and privacy. Here, you are genuinely my guest. Beverages, snacks, and a nurturing environment are part of what I offer. You are here to do hard work, and I make sure you feel cared for while you do it.
The full day consists of two 3-hour sessions with a long restorative break in between — time to eat, walk, breathe, and let the morning’s work settle before we continue. It is an immersive experience that clients describe as unlike anything they have done before.
And then there is Asheville itself
Many clients choose to arrive the evening before and stay a night or two after. Asheville is one of the most beautiful small cities in the country — known for its mountain setting, extraordinary food scene, art, music, and a pace of life that invites you to slow down. For a Massachusetts professional who rarely stops moving, that combination of deep therapeutic work and genuine rest in a place this beautiful is its own kind of gift.
This is intentional travel. Clients who make the trip arrive with purpose and leave with clarity.
In-person full-day or multi-day intensives are available by appointment. Travel and accommodation are the responsibility of the client — I’m happy to share recommendations for where to stay and what to do while you’re here.
